BOARD OF PARKS AND RECREATION
OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA
JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 4 -2009
WHEREAS, The Mayor wishes to grant permission to have two (2) military tanks,
currently located on the Wayne County Courthouse campus, moved to
the Veterans Memorial Park in the Gorge so that the tanks may be
displayed in connection with the Veterans Memorial; and
WHEREAS, The City will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the
tanks which are the property of the United States Army TACOM Life
Cycle Management Command Department; and
WHEREAS, The Board of Parks and Recreation and the Board of Public Works and
Safety, on behalf of City, recognize the public good and benefit that
will result from the placement of the military tanks within the Veterans
Memorial Park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Parks and Recreation
and the Board of Public Works and Safety jointly approve the placement and display of the
two (2) military tanks within the Veterans Memorial Park.
