RESOLUTION NO. 6 -2010
A RESOLUTION TO PURCHASE REAL ESTATE COMMONLY KNOWN AS
239 SOUTH 7TH STREET, RICHMOND, INDIANA
WHEREAS, The City of Richmond may Purchase from the Department of Housing and
Urban Development property located at 239 South 7 th Street in Richmond,
Indiana, for which a $1.00 bid was submitted and accepted; and
WHEREAS, Pursuant to the attached Purchase Agreement, the City of Richmond may
purchase the property for the sum of $1.00 plus the payment of closing
costs; and
WHEREAS, After careful consideration, it is the desire of the City of Richmond to
exercise such option; and
WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36 -9 -6 -4 permits and funding is currently available for the
Board of Works & Safety to make the purchase of the above stated
property for any public use.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS
AND SAFETY, that the City of Richmond will purchase the property located at 239
South 7th Street from the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and that Tony
Foster, Director of the Department of Metropolitan Development or Sharon Palmer, as
the City's Community Development Specialist, be authorized to execute any and all
documents associated with such purchase.
