RESOLUTION NO. 8 -2011
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE DISTRICT SIX
MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT (CONTRACT NO 163 -2011)
WHEREAS, In accordance with Indiana Code 36 -1 -7 (Interlocal Cooperation) and IC 10 -14 -3
(Emergency Management and Disaster Law), the City of Richmond has been
presented with the District Six Mutual Aid Agreement so that in the event of a natural
or manmade disaster emergency (as defined by the Indiana Emergency Management
and Disaster Law) the City may provide or receive mutual support, aid, and
assistance from, between, or among the participating jurisdictions; and
WHEREAS, Said Agreement is attached to this Resolution as Contract No. 163 -2011, which
Contract authorizes the City to be a participating jurisdiction under IC 10 -14 -3 so that
if an emergency /disaster is proclaimed the City may be assisted or may participate in
mutually assisting other participating jurisdictions under this Contract; and
WHEREAS, It is in the best interest of the City of Richmond that the Board of Public Works and
Safety approve Contract No. 163 -2011, in order that the City of Richmond may assist
or be assisted with the coordinated planning to provide mutual support, aid, and
assistance in the event of a natural or manmade disaster emergency.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, that said Board hereby approves Contract No. 163 -2011 (District Six Mutual Aid
Agreement).
Passed and adopted this _ 10 th day of _ November 2011, by the Board of Public Works
and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
