RESOLUTION 3 -2012
A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING AVIS STEWART FOR YEARS OF SERVICE TO
THE CITY OF RICHMOND BOARD OF PARKS AND RECREATION
WHEREAS, Mr. Avis Stewart has served as both a member and as President of the City of
Richmond Board of Parks and Recreation as a mayoral appointee since 2006; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Avis Stewart has unfortunately resigned his position on the Park Board which
is a sad loss to the Richmond Park Board and Parks Department; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Avis Stewart was a tremendous asset to the Park Board during his years of
service and leadership and will be missed by both the Park Board and the Park
and City staff who worked closely with him during his term on the Board; and
WHEREAS, It is in the best interest of the City of Richmond Parks Department to
acknowledge and thank Mr. Avis Stewart for his years of service and leadership
on the Parks Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Richmond, Indiana, Board of
Parks and Recreation gratefully acknowledges the years of service and leadership given by Avis
Stewart to the Richmond community through his efforts to serve the public by serving on the
Richmond Park Board. The City of Richmond Parks Board sincerely expresses its best wishes
for Mr. Avis Stewart on his future endeavors.
