Home My Public Portal About002-2013 - Authorizing Annual Compensation and Benefits of FiBOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND` SAFETY CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA RESOLUTION NO. 2-2013 AUTHORIZING THE ANNUAL COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS OF RICHMOND FIRE DEPARTMENT OFFICERS WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36- 8- 3 -3(d) requires Common Council to fix the annual compensation of all firefighters by ordinance before September 30th of each year for the ensuing budget year, and WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36- 8- 3 -3(d) also authorizes the Board of Public Works and Safety to fix the compensation of members of the Fire Department if the Common Council fails to do so; and WHEREAS, It is in the best interest of the City of Richmond that the Board of Public Works and Safety proceed to fix the annual compensation of the Richmond Firefighters pursuant to Indiana Code 36- 8- 3 -3(d). NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Richmond Board of Public Works and Safety that pursuant to Indiana Code 36- 8- 3 -3(d) the following positions are authorized by the Board to be compensated not in excess of the respective sums hereafter set forth during calendar year 2013, to wit: Fire De artment NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ALSO RESOLVED by the Richmond Board of Public Works and Safety that as additional compensation to the bi- weekly salaries set forth in Sections 2.01 through 2.05 above, all benefits agreed upon in the agreement dated January lst, 2013 between the Board of Public Works and Safety on behalf of the City of Richmond, Position Bi- Weekly Salga 2.01 Inspector 1,678.47 2.02 Lieutenant 1,678.47 2.03 Engineer 1,609.67 2.04 Firefighter 1,535.11 2.05 Probationary Firefighter 1,364.17 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ALSO RESOLVED by the Richmond Board of Public Works and Safety that as additional compensation to the bi- weekly salaries set forth in Sections 2.01 through 2.05 above, all benefits agreed upon in the agreement dated January lst, 2013 between the Board of Public Works and Safety on behalf of the City of Richmond, Richmond, Indiana and the Richmond Professional Firefighters, Inc.
