Dear Residents and Business Owners of Washburn Street, Spring Street, Fayette Street
and Watertown Street:
The Department of Public Works and our contractor, Brox Industries, has changed the
date of installing the final asphalt wearing surface on your street, WEATHER
PERMITTING, to Thursday, May 30, 2019.
The street will be closed to motor vehicle traffic during this paving process. Please park
your motor vehicles out of the construction area on the intersecting side streets if
necessary.
Please do not park your car on your street or on your driveway to avoid being blocked in
during the construction. Vehicles not removed from the street by 7:00 am, will be towed,
per order of the Department of Public Works. The Watertown Police will be informed of
the construction and its effects.
We understand that the process is noisy, messy and disruptive and apologize in advance
for inconvenience you may experience. We know you will enjoy the improved appearance
and condition of your roadway for many years in the future.
Should you have any questions, please call the office at 617-972-6420.
Sincerely,
Gerald S. Mee, Jr.
