HomeMy Public PortalAbout013-2015 - Transfer of 2 properties to Neighborhood Clearing House ServicesBOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS & SAFETY CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA RESOLUTION NO. 13 -2015 A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY TO NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICES CLEARINGHOUSE COMPANY WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works and Safety ( "Board ") is the disposing agent for real property owned and to be transferred or acquired by the City of Richmond, Indiana ( "City") pursuant to the provisions of Indiana Code (IC) 36 -1 -11, et. seq. (the "Act "); and WHEREAS, The City of Richmond 9reviously acquired certain vacant properties located at 132 South 11th Street and 133 South 11 Street in Richmond, Indiana, for the purposes of providing green space in the geographic area known as the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) area (see Board of Works Resolution Number 10 -2012 passed on May 17, 2012); and WHEREAS, In accordance with IC 36- 1- 11- 1(b)(7) the City of Richmond may transfer both properties located at 132 South 11th Street and 133 South 11th Street, in Richmond, Indiana, to the Neighborhood Services Clearinghouse Company; and WHEREAS, It is in the best interest of the City of Richmond that the Board of Public Works and Safety approve of the transfer of the above - described properties to the Neighborhood Services Clearinghouse Company. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works and Safety of Richmond, Indiana, that said Board hereby approves of the transfer of both properties located at 132 South 11th Street and 133 South 11th Street, in Richmond, Indiana, to the Neighborhood Services Clearinghouse Company. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ALSO FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works and Safety of Richmond, Indiana, that the Mayor, the Director of the Department of Metropolitan Development, the Community Development Specialist, the President of the Board of Public Works and Safety, the City Attorney, and/or the Assistant City Attorney be authorized to sign and/or take all other action necessary including, but not limited to, signing any and all documents required to effectuate the conveyance and transfer of the above - listed real estate.
