EMT PROGRAM
CLINICAL AFFILIATIONAGREEMENT
This clinical site agreement has been designed for: RICHMOND FIRE
DEPARTMENT. Your organization has been chosen due to being deemed to have
exceii'ent clinical opportunities. As 'a clinical site for the RLRA EMT PROGRAM you
would be responsible for the following:
1. The clinical site would assure that the EMT student would receive a meaningful
clinical experience with a proper preceptor, in a professional atmosphere.
2. The clinical site shall encourage hands on experience for the students staying
within each level of student's scope of practice.
3. The clinical site shall never release total patient care to the student, and shall
provide an approved preceptor appointed by the clinical site.
4. The clinical site agrees to treat all students equally and will never allow a student
to perform any procedure for which they have not been trained.
5. All students will arrive to the clinical site in proper school or attire or may be sent
home by the clinical site.
6. Each clinical site will receive preceptor handbooks outlining RLRA program
policy and procedures for student clinical rotations.
7. Scheduling of students is to be outlined by the clinical site, and the training
institution will ensure students follow that policy.
8. Students will have their own health insurance and are responsible for any injuries
that may occur while on clinicals rotation.
9. Any student not abiding by school or hospital policy, or is acting in an
unprofessional manner and 'or not in proper clinical attire may be subject to
dismissal from clinical site and may be dis-enrolled from the EMT/paramedic
program.
