COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA
ORDINANCE 27-2020
AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE UNITED
STATES FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION
WHEREAS, In accordance with Indiana Code (IC) 36-1-4-10, a municipality may execute
any documents necessary to receive money from the state or federal
government or any other source, and said documents are prepared and
executed by the City executive administration, provided that the Common
Council of the City of Richmond as the legislative body of the City approves
an ordinance for the appropriation of any monies received in accordance with
IC 36-4-6-18; and
WHEREAS, The Federal Aviation Administration has grant funding available through its
Airport Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS, The City of Richmond desires to submit a grant application to assist with the
costs associated with the Taxiway "A" Rehabilitation Project for the
Richmond Municipal Airport; and
WHEREAS, No local match is required.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond in accordance with IC 36-1-4-10 has submitted or will
submit a grant application to the Federal Aviation Administration for the 2020
Airport Improvement Program grant for the Taxiway "A" Rehabilitation
Program.
2. The City of,Richmond is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount
up to Eight Hundred Seven Thousand Three Hundred Eighty-five Dollars and
Zero Cents ($807,385.00) from the Federal Aviation Administration.
3. If the grant is awarded to the City of Richmond, said funds from the United
States Federal Aviation Administration in the amount of up to Eight Hundred
Seven Thousand Three Hundred Eighty-five Dollars and Zero Cents

($807,385.00) shall be appropriated for assistance with the costs associated with
the Taxiway "A" Rehabilitation Program for the Richmond Municipal Airport.
Passed and adopted this day of , 2020, by the Common Council of
the City of Richmond, Indiana.
