ORDINANCE NO.29-2020
AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING .THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE INDIANA
OFFICE OF COMMUNITY AND RURAL AFFAIRS
WHEREAS, In accordance with Indiana Code (IC) 36-1-4-10, a municipality may execute
any documents necessary to receive money from the state or federal government
or any other source, and said documents are prepared and executed by the City
executive administration, provided that the Common Council of the City of
Richmond as the legislative body of the City approves an ordinance for the
appropriation of any monies received in accordance with IC 36-4-6-18; and
WHEREAS, The Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs ("OCRA") has grant
funding available through the Federal COVID-19 Response Program; and
WHEREAS, The City of Richmond desires to submit a grant application for small business
grant funding toassist with the economic impact of the COVID-19 Health
Emergency; and
WHEREAS, No local match is required.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond, in accordance with IC 36-1-4-10, has submitted or will
submit a grant application to the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs ("OCRA")
for small business grant funding to assist with the economic impact of the COVID-19 Health
Emergency.
2. The City of Richmond is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to
Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($250,000.00).

3. All grant funding; if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated to
assist the City with the economic impact of the COVID-19 Health Emergency.

the City of Richmond, Indiana.
