A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD API?ROVING
THE EMERGENCY REPAIRS OF THE 12" WATER MAIN LOCATED IN THE FIRST
ALLEY EAST OF LONG BEACH BOULEVARD BETWEEN MULFORD AVENUE AND
PLATT AVENUE, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO
MAKE THE NECESSARY FUND APPROPRIATIONS AND TRANSFERS
WHEREAS, on August 30, 2012, the 12" water main located in the first alley east
of Long Beach Boulevard between Mulford Avenue and Platt Avenue experienced a
severe leak that required emergency repairs; and
WHEREAS, said emergency repairs were authorized by Section '6 -3.13 of the
Lynwood Municipal Code; and.
WHEREAS, the total cost of the repairs amounted to $42,275; and
WHEREAS, staff has identified unappropriated Water funds that can be
appropriated for this repair work.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council approves the emergency repair of the 12"
water main located in the first alley east of Long Beach Boulevard between Mulford
Avenue and Platt Avenue.

Section 2. That the City Manager or designee is authorized to make the
following fund appropriations and transfers:

Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 2 day of October, 2012.
