A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER NO.1 AND ACCEPTING THE JOSEPHINE STREET
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, PROJECT NO. 4011.67.870, AS BEING COMPLETE;
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO PROCESS THE RECORDATION OF
THE NOTICE OF COMPLETION
WHEREAS, on May 1, 2012, the City Council of the City of Lynwood awarded
the Josephine Street Improvement Project contract to Sequel Contractors, Inc. in the
amount of $479,272; and
WHEREAS, the project started on June 11, 2012 and was completed on August
20, 2012; and
WHEREAS, the project is funded by the CDBG Fund; and
WHEREAS, the final construction cost is $544,195 including contract change
order no.1 in the amount of $64,923.19 and final design costs of $33,280; and
WHEREAS, Public Works staff conducted the final inspection on August 20,
2012 and found that all the work is complete in accordance with the project plans and
specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council approves the Contract Change Order No.1 in
the amount of $64,923.19.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood accepts the Josephine
Street Improvement Project, Project No. 4011.67.870 as complete in accordance with
contract documents; and authorizes the City Engineer to process the recordation of the
Notice of Completion.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 2 day of October, 2012.
