Change Order #2 – Additional Phase I Archaeological Survey & Historic
Architectural Survey
Scope
During the development of the original proposal, the project was scoped and a fee
was developed based on the completion of the “Worksheet for Review of TE/CMAQ Projects
Under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act” to address the historical and
architectural resources within the corridor. The worksheet was completed and submitted to
Moreland Altobelli and the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) for review and
approval. During the review of the submitted worksheet, GDOT determined that a Phase I
Archaeological Survey and Metal Detecting Survey will need to be completed. Currently the
Historic Preservation Division (HPD) has not determined if they will require a Historical
Architectural Survey be completed however based on the determination regarding the
archaeological survey, we anticipate it will be required. Additionally, during the review of the
Historical Architectural Survey, HPD may determine that an Assessment of Effects (AoE) will
need to be completed. At this time it is unknown if the AoE will be needed, however the fee
to complete the AoE has been included and should it not be required it will not be billed.
Attached is a fee schedule to complete the work described herein. All tasks will be billed on a
time and expense basis. During the development of this scope, it was requested by the City
that possible collaborations with local organizations be explored in an effort to reduce the
cost. All additional work, not specifically stated below will be handled as additional services.
Review Meetings
Additional meeting time has been included with this change order to facilitate
attending the Infrastructure Committee Meetings. The fee included with this change order
accounts for attendance at three, two hour meetings. Attendance at the meetings will
coincide with significant milestones in the permitting process. Attendance at additional
meetings will be handled as additional services.
