AN ORDINANCE ADDING AND AMENDING CERTAIN
SECTIONS OF CHAPTER 160 OF THE CODE OF THE
BOROUGH OF CARTERET.
BE IT ORDAINED, by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret (the
"Borough") that Chapter 160 "Land Development" is amended as follows:
(1) Section 160-45 is revised to consist of the following subsections:
(A.) To hear and decide appeals: $50.00
w (B.) Interpretation of zoning map $50.00
(C.) Bulk Variances $50.00
(D.) Use Variances:
(2) Residential: $50.00 per dwelling unit
(3) Other uses: $50.00 or portion thereof
(E.) Building Permit in conflict with official map or building permit
for a lot not related to a street. $50.00
(F.) Conditional Use: $50.00
(G). Extension of Approval $50.00
(H.) Interpretation of Ordinance $50.00 per ordinance.
- 2. The below listed subsections are added to Section 160-46.1 to read in their
entirety as follows:
"A (2) 5. Extension of approval $250.00"
"A (2) 6. Interpretation of ordinance. $250.00 per ordinance"
"C.4. Variance: Residential $250.00 lot. All other uses $450./Lot"
C.5. Extenston of approval $250.0
"C.6. Interpretation of ordinance $50.00 per ordinance
3. A new subsection designated 160-46.2 titled "special meeting" shall be added
and shall read in its entirety:
"160-46.2 Special Meeting. An applicant shall pay all fees for special meeting
to the respective board prior to a meeting being scheduled. The fees shall be as
follows:

A. Board fee $100.00
B. Zoning Officer $150.00
C. Board Clerk $150.00
D. Board Engineer $500.00
E. Board Attorney $600.00
In addition to above listed fees, the applicant shall bear the cost of such other
expert witnesses for technical support that the Board or its staff deem necessary
to property consider the application."
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that a copy of this ordinance be sent to the
Carteret Planning Board and the Middlesex County Planning Board.
