Re: Ordinance 33-2020 Grant Ordinance – HHS
Ordinance 33-2020 is an Appropriation Ordinance Authorizing the Submittal,
Acceptance and Appropriation of a grant from the Department of Health and Human
Services.
The United States Department of Health and Human Services has grant funding
available through the Federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act
(“CARES”) Provider Relief Fund and Rural Provider Relief Fund to assist with funding
to be used by the Richmond Fire Department to prevent, prepare, and respond to the
COVID-19 virus and to be reimbursed for healthcare related expenses or lost revenues
that are attributable to COVID-19.
The Richmond Fire Department has been awarded an allocation of $105,353.34. There
is no local match requirement for these funds.
