Thursday, October 22, 2020 The Brewster Old King' s Highway Regional Historic District Committee, acting under the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 470, Acts of 1973 as amended , came to order remotely at 7 : 00 pm . Committee members present were Steven Bergquist, Jim Trabulsie ( Chairman ) , Tom Turcketta , George Carey ( Alternate ) , and Sara Provos ( Senior Department Assistant ) . Carol Appleton and Patricia Busch were absent . H40-20445 Dean and Marion Sarrasin, 383 Harwich Road, Map 55 Lot 126 Roof Mounted Solar Panels ■ Diane Addison, My Generation Energy and the homeowner, Dean Sarrasin attended the meeting . ■ Applicant was asked if they would consider placing 17 panels on the East facing roof. ■ Ms . Addison stated that having 17 panels on the East facing roof would not achieve optimum energy . ■ Tom Turcketta moved to continue to the November 5, 2020 meeting . Steve Bergquist seconded . ■ All voted in favor. j } i H40-20462 Michael and Jane Quinn, 16 Dune Road, Map 79 Lot 59 Garage ■ Homeowner Michael Quinn along with Richard Carr were present at the meeting . ■ Chairman Trabulsie read into record the specification sheet of the proposed garage addition . ■ Mr. Quinn confirmed that the peak of the new structure will be equal to the existing structure . ■ Vertical siding will be used . ■ A metal roof will be used in a gun metal grey color . ■ Tom Turcketta moved to approve as presented . George Carey seconded . ■ All voted in favor. i I i 1 3 3 i I 1 a t t 1 3 i ; I Brewster Historic District Committee / Minutes of October 22, 2020 Meeting H40-20-163 Aime Bessette, 116 Old Valley Road, Map 101 Lot 16 Garage ■ Homeowner Aime Bessette was present at the meeting . ■ Chairman Trabulsie read into record the specification sheet for the project . ■ Ms . Bessette noted that the roof would be replaced on the existing home to match the addition . ■ Mr. Turcketta noted that the garage door appears to have a lot of panels and does not meet the characteristics for this area . ■ Stairway / connector does not appear finished and gives the appearance of two separate buildings . ■ Mr . Turcketta noted that the drawings presented for review do not appear to be accurate and there are several questions that cannot be addressed by the homeowner at this time, which include ; o Grading/Elevations o Garage Door o Doors on drawing vs . specification sheets provided ■ Steven Bergquist moved to continue to the November 5 , 2020 meeting . George Carey seconded . ■ All voted in favor . D- 10-20- 164 Ronald and Eileen Nardone, 4 Depot Street, Map 65 Lot 22 Demolish Barn ■ Jamie McGrath of Pine Harbor Wood Products attended the meeting and discussed the demolition of the barn on the property . ■ The barn does not have a foundation . ■ Chairman Trabulsie stated that a site review would be needed . ■ Tom Turcketta moved to continue to the November 5, 2020 meeting . Steven Bergquist seconded . i ■ All voted in favor . i H40-20465 j Derek Reicherter, 187 Blueberry Pond Road, Map 100 Lot 36 I Dormer and Windows ■ Contractor James Nickerson represented Mr. Reicherter . ■ Chairman Trabulsie read into record the specification sheet . i ■ All details will match the existing home . ■ Tom Turcketta moved to approve as proposed . George Carey seconded . ■ All voted in favor . i i i 1 t i 2 i I Brewster Historic District Committee / Minutes of October 22, 2020 Meeting H40-20466 Gerry and Sarah O'Shea, 21 Country Lane, Map 101 Lot 36 Addition ■ John Goff of Goff Brothers Construction attended the meeting on behalf of the homeowners . ■ Chairman Trabulsie read into record the specification sheet . ■ Mr. Goff noted the door size should be 6x8 not 6x6 as originally depicted on the specification sheet . ■ White cedar shingles will be used in place of clapboard on the addition . ■ Tom Turcketta moved to accept as proposed . Steven Bergquist seconded . ■ All voted in favor . q .. OW RR 1 . 2021 HDC Meeting Schedule Committee members reviewed the 2021 HDC Meeting Schedule and will contact Sara Provos if they have any concerns . 2 .
