DEVELOP I I,rENT, OF THE CODE
OF TUE BOROIJGII OF CARTERET
BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret m follows:
Section 1. In accordance with the recommendations of the Borough of Carteret
Planning Board, Chapter 160 of the Code of the Borough, entitled "Land
Development Ordinance Of The Borough Of Carteret," is hereby
amended and supplemented in accordance with the attached Schedule A of
amending provisions.
Seetica 1 All Ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with the provision of this
Ordinance are hereby repealed limited to the extent of any such
inconsistency.
Section 5. If any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause or provision of this
Ordinance is adjudged invalid, such adjudication shall apply only to the
section, paragraph, subdivision, clause or provision so adjudged and the
remainder of this Ordinance shall be deemed valid and effective.
Section 6. This Ordinance shall take effect upon passage and publication according

§160- 119(A) Yards, Is amended to read as follows:
No open space provided around any prinolpal building for the purpose of complying with
front, side or rear yards provisions shall be considered as providing the yard provisions
of another principal building, on a lot which extends through a block In a manner
resulting In frontage on two or more streets including comer lots. All driveways shall
have a minimum distance of 12 inches to each side and rear property line between any
driveway and the adjoining property of another so as to serve as a buffer and to allow
for drainage, except that a driveway may extend to a property line If a permanent barrier
of concrete, granite block or pressure treated wood Is installed
§160.119(6) Is amended to read as follows:
No front yard shall be used for storage of boats, vehicles or other equipment (i.e.
grills, barbpques, swing sets and/or lawnfurniture), Including parking on driveways, except
In the Instance of a conforming driveway for the parking of registered motor vehicles not
exceeding 8 tons,
