RESOLUTION NO. 2001 - �, �
RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING PUBLIC ACCESS CHANNEL OPERATIONS
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Greencastle (City) passed Resolution
1998 -8: Establishing the Channel 2 Public Access Committee and Designating Funding for
Public Access; and
WHEREAS, the City of Greencastle owns all equipment used for the local public access
channel and the Greencastle Community School Corporation has stored the equipment and
administered the public access channel since 1998; and
WHEREAS, the City of Greencastle now wishes to administer the operations of local
public access channel; and
WHEREAS, the Greencastle School Corporation wishes to keep. and use certain
equipment for its purposes associated with the public access channel.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
1. The public access channel playback system shall be relocated from the
Greencastle School Corporation to the City Hall.
2. The Greencastle School Corporation shall store and use equipment listed in
Attachment A, incorporated herein, which shall remain located at the School
Corporation but shall be returned to City Hall upon the City's request.
3. The City shallpreate a Public Access Committee which shall consist of five (5)
members. T-14& shall be appointed by the Mayor and two (2) members
shall be appointed by the Common Council. 01,1e SeXeel
4. The City shall contract with an individual to coordinate operations and
programming of the public access channel. The public access committee shall
provide a recommendation to the Common Council for the appropriate individual
to provide said services and the appropriate amount to pay said individual. Said
recommendation must be approved by the Common Council prior to contracting
with the individual.
5. All terms contained in the Resolution No. 1998 -8 which are inconsistent with this
Resolution are hereby replaced.
