PUBLIC NOTICE
The city council of the city of Medi-
na has adopted Ordinance No. 403.
The ordinance adds a more com-
plete definition of 'lot width" to both
the subdivision regulations and the
zoning ordinance and for the first
time defines the term "flag lot" in
both ordinances. The amendment in-
creases the minimum building set-
back from all property lines to 50'
within the city's rural residential dis-
tricts. The amendment increases the
minimum lot width from 110' to 300'
in the rural residential districts. Al-
though the minimum lot width will be
increased for newly created lots, lots
conforming on March 1, 2006 to the
previous standards will remain con-
forming under the new ordinance.
The ordinance will become effective
prior to the expiration of the rural res-
idential moratorium on April 24,
2006. The full text of Ordinance No.
403 is available for inspection at
Medina city hall during regular busi-
ness hours.
