ADJOURNED MEETING MINUTES
THURSDAY, MARCH 9, 2000 8:30 A.M.
COUNCIL CONFERENCE ROOM
1. CALL TO ORDER:
Mayor Breazeal called the Adjourned Meeting of the City Council to order at 8:30 a.m. on
Thursday, March 9, 2000.
2. ROLL CALL
PRESENT: Councilman- Brook, Gillanders, Souder, Wilson, Breazeal
ALSO PRESENT: Interim City Manager Martin
Mayor Breazeal appointed Interim City Manager Martin as Special Clerk and instructed him to
take the minutes of this adjourned meeting.
3. CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION
Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957 the City Council recessed to a closed executive
session at 8:35 a.m. to conduct interviews with two candidates for the position of City Manager.
4. ANNOUNCEMENT OF CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION
The City Council reconvened at 9:45 a.m. Mayor Breazeal announced the City Council
unanimously selected John G. Davidson as the next City Manager, subject to the negotiation of
a satisfactory contract.
The City Council authorized the Mayor and the City Attorney to sign a contract which indicates
a salary of $90,000 per year together with the customary perks and severance package as soon as
possible.
5. ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business or comments, at 10:00 a.m., it was moved, seconded and
unanimously carried to adjourn.
