A CAPITAL PROJECT AUTHORIZING RESOLUTION OF
THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY
BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF
30 SPIN BICYCLES FOR THE VILLAGE COMMUNITY
CENTER FROM GYM SOURCE MIAMI, INC. AND THE
TRADE-IN OF 30 EXISTING SPIN BICYCLES; PROVIDING
FOR AUTHORIZATION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS,the Village Manager, in accordance with Section 2-83 of the Village Code of
Ordinances, recently sought proposals for the purchase of spin bicycles for the Village Community
Center (the "Equipment"); and
WHEREAS, after careful review of the proposals submitted, the Village Manager
recommends the purchase of the Equipment from Gym Source Miami, Inc. (the "Gym Source") and
the trade-in of 30 existing spin bicycles; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council authorizes the purchase of the Equipment from Gym
Source and the trade-in of 30 existing spin bicycles in accordance with the proposal attached as
Exhibit "A;" and
WHEREAS, the Village Council finds that this Resolution is in the best interest and welfare
of the residents of the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Recitals Adopted. Each of the above stated recitals are hereby adopted,
confirmed and incorporated herein.
Section 2. Purchase and Trade -In. The Village Council hereby authorizes the purchase
of the Equipment from Gym Source and the trade-in of 30 existing spin bicycles consistent with the
proposal attached as Exhibit "A."
Section 3. Village Manager Authorized. The Village Manager is hereby authorized
to execute a purchase order for the Equipment and the trade-in of 30 existing spin bicycles consistent
with the proposal attached as Exhibit "A."
Section 4. Effective Date. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon
adoption.
