A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE MEMORANDUM OF
UNDERSTANDING WITH THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY METROPOLITAN
TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY RELATING TO THE PROPOSITION `A'
DISCRETIONARY INCENTIVE GRANT FUNDS
WHEREAS, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority
(MTA) authorized payment of Proposition A Discretionary Incentive funds to each
participant agency in an amount equal to the Federal funds generated for the region by
each agency's reported data; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood has been a participant in the MTA's
Consolidated National Transit Database (NTD) Reporters Random Sampling Program
since FY 2003 -04 and has voluntarily submitted auditable NTD data to the MTA for FY
2011 -12; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood has requested funds under the Proposition A
Discretionary Incentive Program for collecting and reporting data for the NTD from the
FY 2011 -12 Report Year and will be requesting said funds for future fiscal years; and
WHEREAS, MTA requires the City to execute a Memorandum of Understanding
(MOU) for the receipt of said funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Mayor is authorized to execute the Memorandum of
Understanding with the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority
relating to the Proposition A Discretionary Incentive Funds.
Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
