ROUTE 126 AND EAST OF INDIAN BOUNDARY ROAD FROM R-1, SINGLE
FAMILY RESIDENTIAL TO B-2, GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT.

COUNTY, ILLINOIS, THIS 1ST DAY OF OCTOBER, 2004.
ORDINANCE NO. 2417
AN ORDINANCE REZONING THE PROPERTY OF LOT 2 SCHOOL SUBDIVISION
SOUTH OF ROUTE 126 AND EAST OF INDIAN BOUNDARY ROAD FROM R-1,
SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL TO B-2, GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT IN THE
VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the Owner has requested rezoning from R-1, Single Family Residential
to B-2 General Business District, and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission has made the following findings based upon the
evidence presented to it:
A. The amendment promotes the public health, safety, comfort, convenience and
general welfare and complies with the policies and official land use plan and other official
plans of the Village.
B. The trend of development in the area of the subject property is consistent with
the requested amendment.
C. The requested zoning classification permits uses which are more suitable than
the uses permitted under the existing zoning classification.
D. The property cannot yield a reasonable use if permitted only under the conditions
allowed under the existing zoning classification.
E. The amendment, if granted, will not alter the essential character of the
neighborhood and will not be a substantial detriment to adjacent property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.The President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Plainfield hereby
adopt the findings of the Plan Commission and that the petition requesting a rezoning from
R-1, Single Family Residential to B-2, General Business District, as to the real estate
hereinafter described be granted.

And made a part hereof
Section 2.There is hereby granted a rezoning from R-1, Single Family Residential to
B-2 General Business District.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in effect upon its passage, approval and
publication as provided by law.
