HomeMy Public PortalAbout047-2020 - 2021 Civilian SalariesL' i COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA ORDINANCE NO.47-2020 AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE TO BE KNOWN AS THE 2021 SALARY ORDINANCE WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-4-7-3 requires the Mayor to fix the compensation of each appointed officer, deputy and other employee of the city departments, except police officers and firefighters, prior to November I for the ensuing budget year subject to the approval of Common Council; and _ WHEREAS, Said statute allows the City Clerk to fix the compensation of the deputies and employees of the Clerk's office prior to November I for the ensuing budget year subject to the approval of Common Council; and WHEREAS, . The compensation fixed herein may not be increased during the budget year for which it is fixed but may be reduced by the Mayor for each appointive officer, deputy and other employee of the city departments set forth herein or by the City Clerk for employees of the Clerk's office; except by amendment approved by Common Council. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana that the following positions be compensated not in excess of the respective sums hereafter set forth during the calendar year 2021, to wit: 2021 2021 2021 Bi-Weekly Hourly . Compensation for these positions may range from $7.25 to $15.00 per hour. Due to the specialized training required, compensation for Certified Paramedics may range from $7.25 to $18.00 per hour.
