RESOLUTION 4-2001
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RICHMOND POWER & LIGHT TO
EXTEND SALARY PAY FOR NATIONAL GUARD AND RESERVE MEMBERS
OF THE UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES
WHEREAS,
Richmond Power & Light ("RPL") currently has employees who are
members of the National Guard or of a Reserve Component of the United
States Armed Forces; and
WHEREAS,
WHEREAS,
due to current national circumstances, there exists the possibility that
members of the National Guard and/or Armed Services Reserves will be
called into active duty; and
RPL wishes ~ith an accommodation of those employees who are
called into activ-'E-duty.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors for
Richmond Power and Light as follows:
In the event that an RPL employee, who is a member of the
National Guard or Reserve Component of the United States Armed Forces
is ordered to active duty (in addition to their annual fifteen (15) days of
active training) RPL will continue the employee's regular compensation
(based upon 40 hours a week for hourly employees) for the first 15 days of
such additional active duty. In such event, the employee's must present
RPL a copy of the employee's orders for active duty.
