ROADWAY RECLAMATION & ROADWAY PAVING
Piermont Street & Tappan Avenue
Dear Residents and Abutters:
Reclamation of the road is scheduled to begin, WEATHER PERMITTING, Wednesday.
April 29, 2020 and last several days.
Reclamation is a process by which the existing road surface is ripped up and pulverized,
leaving several inches of ground up material that is then graded and compacted to form a
new roadway base. A binder (first) course asphalt pavement is then placed on top of the
new roadway base.
"No Parking" signs will be posted along the area selected for road work. Please do not park
your car in the posted area. The Watertown Police will be informed of the construction and
its effects. Typical hours of construction work are from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
We understand that the process is noisy, messy and disruptive and apologize in advance
for inconvenience you may experience.
