A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
THE USE OF THE BATEMAN HALL AUDITORIUM AND WAIVING THE RENTAL
FEES IN THE AMOUNT OF $811
WHEREAS, a request was made by Assembly Member Ricardo Lara to host two
Deferred Action Workshops at the Bateman Hall Rental Facility; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the event is to provide information on the eligibility
requirements of the Deferred Action for the Childhood Arrivals policy; and
WHEREAS, the workshops will take place on Saturday, October 20 and
December 1, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council approves the use of City facilities and the waiver
of rental fees in the amount of $811.
Section 2. The City Council further finds that Assembly Member Lara's
requests serves the important public purpose of educating Lynwood citizens
community -wide.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 16 day of October, 2012.
