APPROVING THE 1999-2000 CDBG PROGRAM
WHEREAS , the Borough of Carteret has been allocated $88,000.00 from the
Middlesex County Housing and Community Development Program for the 1999-2000
CDBG year; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on Tuesday, February 16, 1999 to solicit
comments and recommendations from residents of the Borough of Carteret; and
WHEREAS, the Community Development Board has had the opportunity to discuss
the proposals with the Mayor and Council and representatives to the Middesex
County Housing and Community Development Program; and
WHEREAS, it is the consensus of the Community Development Board that the
following programs meet the guidelines of the Citizen's Participation List of Eligible
activities:
Volunteer Fire Department
Chrome Park Renewal
Handicapped Curb Cuts
Housing Rehabilitation
Kiddie Keep Well
Housing Authority

$88.000.00
WHEREAS, the above programs were approved by the Community Development
Board at the Public Hearing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret hereby consent to the submission of the above named proposals.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall take effect immediately
as provided by law.
Adopted this 18th day of February, 1999
and certified as a true copy of the original
on February 19, 1999.
