CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA
RESOLUTION NO. 3-2020
A RESOLUTION TO PURCHASE REAL ESTATE FOR
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA
WHEREAS, The Wayne County Commissioners ("County") own certain properties as further
described below, all of which are no longer needed by the County; and
WHEREAS, Said properties have been offered by the County to the City of Richmond, Indiana
("City"), for the City's use; and
WHEREAS, The Department of Infrastructure and Development has verified that the County is
now in a position to transfer the properties to the City; and
WHEREAS, After careful consideration, it is the desire of the City of Richmond to proceed with
the purchase of the properties in accordance with Indiana Code(IC) 36-1-11-8; and
WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-9-6-4 permits and funding is currently available for the Board of .:
Public Works and Safety to purchase the properties from the County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF RICHMOND BOARD OF
PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY that the City of Richmond, Indiana, will purchase from the
Wayne County Commissioners the following properties located in the City of Richmond,Indiana:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ALSO RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF RICHMOND BOARD OF
PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY that Beth Fields, Director of the Department of Infrastructure
and Development, shall be authorized to execute any and all documents associated with the
purchase of said property.
