That the proposal from CME Associates for construction administration phase services related to the Mimic Street and Industrial Road Improvements Project at a total cost not to exceed $190,000.00 at the rate set forth in CME's existing contract with the Borough is hereby approved. 2. That annexed hereto is a copy of said proposal. 3. That this action is approved as an award of a professional services contract pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11- 5(1)(a) in accordance with the Borough's Fair and Open Process as authorized by law. 4. That -a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing Department and CIVIE Associates. This proposal outlines the scope and costs of services necessary for CME Associates to administer construction phase services to ensure the timely and successful completion of this capital improvement project. The contract for the project was awarded to Lucas Brothers, Inc. on December 4, 2014 in the amount of $2,564,744.00. The contract has a substantial completion time of 300 days and final completion time of 350 days. With this in mind we offer the following scope of services: Construction Administration Phase Services Our office will provide full time observation of the site improvements for the anticipated contract time including the following services: 1. Attend pre - construction meetings; 2. Coordinate utility relocation work; 3. Coordinate with the contractor to ensure compliance with the final contract documents; 4. Provide assistance with interpretation of contract documents; 5. Review shop drawings; 6. Provide responses to RFI's from contractor and provide design related services on an on -call, as- needed basis. 7. Provide construction observation services, prepare contractor punch lists and review and prepare pay estimates.
