IMPORTANT NOTICE
NIGHT WORK
April 30, 2021
National Water Main Cleaning Company and Weston & Sampson will be performing sewer inspections
overnight (11 PM-6AM) beginning the week of May 3, 2021 in areas shown on the project 2 overview
map. This is part of the town's ongoing efforts to reduce non -sanitary sewer flows in the sewer system.
By performing the inspections during late night hours, inspectors can easily quantify non -sanitary flows
since sanitary flows will be at a minimum.
Any inconveniences are expected to be minimal to none. There should not be any loud noises; and
lighting will be kept to a minimum. The work consists of opening and entering sewer manhole covers with
shovels, tripods and harnesses. The inspection crew will have a police detail officer present to ensure
public safety.
Some of the inspections will be conducted in town sewer easements; you may see people walking
around your yard or neighboring yards if your property has a town sewer easement on it. If you suspect
there are people on your property that are not part of this project, do not hesitate to call 911.
