HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrdinance #116 TOWN OF FRASER ORDINANCE NO. / / (,; AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCES NO. 95 AND 100 TO CORRECT A TYPOGRAPHICAL ERROR REGARDING THE SALES TAX LICENSE FEE OF $4.50. WHEREAS, the Town of Fraser did pass Ordinance No. 95 on July 20, 1981 which was approved by the qualified electors of the Town of Fraser on October 6, 1981, approving a sales tax increase of two percent (2%) for a total municipal sales tax of four percent (4%); and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 100 was passed by the Town of Fraser on September 2, 1981 providing for reference as required by Colorado statutes to the maximum sales tax allowable within municipalities; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 95 in Article 3{c) entitled "Licenses" provided in Paragraph B thereof for a sales tax license fee of "Two Dollars ($4.50)"; and WHEREAS, the correct sales tax license fee is $4.50 for which the written portion was in error; and WHEREAS, the Board of the Town of Fraser now desires to correct said typographical error to provide that the sales tax license fee is clarified to be $4.50. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF FRASER, COLORADO: 1. That Ordinance No. 95 is amended in that Article 3 Licenses (c) shall be corrected to read that the license fee shall be $4.50, exclusive of the $0.50 filing fee, in each instance where the fee of "Two Dollars ($4.50)" is mentioned therein. 2. Except as stated herein, no part of Ordinances No. 95 and 100, to which this amendment is made, shall be changed, modified or deleted. 3. This amendment shall become effective thirty (30) days after publication.
