A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, AWARDING
A CONTRACT TO BANNAOUN ENGINEERING CONTRUCTION AS THE LOWEST
RESPONSIBLE BIDDER IN THE AMOUNT OF $134,350 FOR THE BULL'S ROAD
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT PHASE I; PROJECT NUMBER 4011.67.964
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Bullis Road Improvement Project Phase I, Project No.
4011.67.964, is scheduled for completion during Fiscal Year 2012 - 2013; and
WHEREAS, Public Works staff advertised the project on June 5, 2012; and
WHEREAS, fifteen contractors received project plans and contract documents;
and
WHEREAS, the bid opening took place in the office of the City Clerk on July 9,
2012, and the Director of Public Works / City Engineer has ascertained that Bannaoun
Engineering Construction, was the apparent lowest responsible bidder for its base bid of
$134,350; and
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that this contractor has the

necessary experience for'ths type of project.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Bullis Road Improvement Project Phase 1, Project No.
4011.67.964 is in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and
adheres to CEQA Guidelines.
Section 2. The contract for the Bullis Road Improvement Project Phase 1,
Project No. 4011.67.964 be awarded to Bannaoun Engineering Construction, for its low
bid of $134,350.
Section 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the agreement between
the City of Lynwood and Bannaoun Engineering Construction.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20t day of November, 2012.
