A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AWARDING
A CONTRACT TO M.E. SIMPSON CO., INC. AS THE APPARENT LOWEST
RESPONSIBLE BIDDER, IN THE AMOUNT NOT -TO- EXCEED $23,240 FOR THE
LARGE WATER METER TESTING AND CALIBRATION SERVICES PROJECT AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO APPROPRIATE AND
TRANSFER $29,050 FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED WATER FUND TO ACCOUNT
NO. 6051.45.450; AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO . EXECUTE THE
AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, on August 30, 2012, Public Works staff advertised the Large Water
Meter Testing and Calibration Services Project; and
WHEREAS, two proposals were received in the Office of the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works / City Engineer has ascertained that
M.E. Simpson Co., Inc. is the apparent lowest responsible bidder at $23,240; and
WHEREAS, the funds are available in the unappropriated Water Fund; and
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that this contractor has the
necessary experience for this type of project.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The contract for the Large Water Meter Testing and Calibration
Services Project be awarded to M.E. Simpson Co., Inc. for its low bid of $23,240.
Section 2. The City Manager or designee is authorized to appropriate and
transfer as follows:

Unappropriated Water Fund Account No. 6051.45.450
$29,050 $29,050
Section 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the agreement between
the City of Lynwood and M.E. Simpson Co., Inc.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20t day of November, 2012.
