HomeMy Public PortalAbout11-12-2020 THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND,INDIANA, NOVEMBER 12,2020 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., Thursday,November 12, 2020, in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th Street,Richmond, Indiana. CALL TO ORDER Member Palmer called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted: ROLL CALL Board members present were: Emily Palmer and Matt Evans. President, Vicki Robinson was absent. Also in attendance were Kim Vessels, Assistant City Attorney; Monica Young, Ordinance Violations Clerk;Fire Chief Jerry Purcell;Police Chief Mike Britt, Greg Stiens,Director of Public Works and Engineering; and, Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Mr. Evans moved to approve the minutes of November 5, 2020, supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Ms. Palmer moved to approve the Claims for Payment for November 13, 2020 in the amount of One Hundred Eighty Four Thousand Four Hundred Seven dollars and thirty-one cents ($184,407.31), supported by Mr. Evans.Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT-none PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT FOR PENSION-none REQUESTS • STREET CLOSURE Newberry Construction Primex Plastics Starting on Monday,November 15, 2020 and finishing up on Friday,November 20, 2020, Newberry will be doing repairs and improvements to the RR spur that crosses North 15th Board of Works Minutes November 12,2020 Street. They request that North 15th Street between North "B" Street and North "F" Street be closed from November 16th through.the 20th Mr.Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms.Palmer.Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. BID OPENINGS - none BID AWARDS-none CONTRACTS • CONTRACT 148-2020—PENN CARE, INC. -Furnishing(1) 2021 Braun Chief XL Type III ambulance -Not to exceed$184,931.00 Mr.Evans moved to approve,supported by Ms.Palmer.Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. • CONTRACT 151-2020—LEXIPOL,LLC. -Continue providing services to ongoing licensing and support in connection with software used by Richmond Fire Department -Not to exceed$10,150.00 Mr.Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms.Palmer.Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. • . CONTRACT 149-2020—LEXIPOL,LLC. -Initial startup of Lexipol for Richmond Police Department -Not to exceed$29,528.80 Mr.Evans moved to approve, supported by Mr.Palmer.Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried • CONTRACT 150-2020—TRC ENVIRONMENT CORPORATION -To conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessment for the former Warfield Oil site.
