AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT
WITH NELSONINYGAARD CONSULTING ASSOCIATES, INC.
ENGINEERING AND PLANNING CONSULTING SERVICES
RE: FERRY TERMINAL PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of specialized engineering and planning
consulting services in connection with the Carteret Ferry Terminal Project; and
WHEREAS, Nelson/Nygaard Consulting Associates, Inc., San Francisco, CA, possesses the
requisite experience and expertise to provide said services; and
WHEREAS, Nelson/Nygaard Consulting Associates, Inc. has subiltitted a proposal to provide
said services at a total cost not to exceed $2,294.00; and
the Mayor and the Council have reviewed said proposal; and
the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available for said
, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the Council of the Borough of
et, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
I. The proposal from NelsonNygaard Consulting Associates, Inc. for professional
engineering and planning consulting services in regard to the Carteret Ferry Terminal
at a total cost not to exceed $2,294.00 is hereby approved.
2. This action is approved as an award of a professional services contract pursuant to
N.J.S.A 40A:11- 5(1)(a) in accordance with the Borough's Fair and Open Process as
authorized bylaw.
3. A copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing Department and
Nelson/Nygaard Consulting Associates, Inc..
