A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT WITH THE ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE ASSOCIATION FOR A
CONTRACT VALUE AMOUNT THAT DOES NOT EXCEED $45,000 FOR FISCAL
YEAR 2012-2013 FOR PREPARTION OF THE CITY'S HOUSING ELEMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood needs to complete a new housing element prior
to October 2013, per legislation (SB 375); and
WHEREAS, by submitting a new housing element prior to the October 2013
deadline, the City can potentially save money by only having to update this document
every 8 years; and
WHEREAS, the Environmental Science Association submitted a proposal for
$45,000 to complete phase 1 and 2.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood awards the contract to the
Environmental Science Association for an amount not to exceed $45,000 for the
preparation of the City's housing element.
Section 2. The Mayor is authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the City
Council in full conformity with all the terms and conditions outlined in the proposal and in
a form acceptable by the City Attorney.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20`h day of November, 2012.
