Council Meeting Date for Request: 7/28/11
Item: Reclassify HR Administrator position to HR Manager.
Explanation: This position has grown tremendously with the overpopulation of our island. The number of employees that we have on staff and the turnover rate have both increased. As a
result, this position is asked to perform more and more managerial type duties that was previously required. As we became busier, dept heads are busier and push more of the HR responsibilities
back to this position. This position is also responsible for keeping the city compliant with the never-ending changes in state and federal law. This duty requires a higher level of responsibility.
This position is required to use judgment and foresight to manage the duties that are required.
