AN ORDINANCE FOR A VARIANCE TO ALLOW AN EIGHT-FOOT FENCE FOR
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 24014 HEATHER COURT IN THE VILLAGE OF
PLAINFIELD, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, John Noel has requested a variance from the maximum fence height
in a residential district of six (6) feet to permit construction of a fence with a maximum
height of eight (8) feet along Division Street (IL 59).
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals have made the following findings based
upon the evidence presented to it:
A. The variance is in harmony with the general purpose and intent of this chapter.
B. Strict enforcement of the chapter would result in practical difficulties or impose
exceptional hardships due to special and unusual conditions which are not generally found
on other properties in the same zoning district.
C. The variance, if granted, will not alter the essential character of the neighborhood
and will not be a substantial detriment to adjacent property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.The President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Plainfield hereby
adopt the findings of the Zoning Board of Appeals as its own and that the petition
requesting a variance for as requested by John Noel as to the real estate hereinafter
described be granted.
'LOT 79 IN GOLDEN MEADOW ESTATES UNIT NO. 3, BEING A
SUBDIVISION OF PART OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION
33, TOWNSHIP 37 NORTH, RANGE 9 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL
MERIDIAN IN WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS.

Section 2.There is hereby granted a variance to allow a fence eight (8) feet in
height.
