HomeMy Public PortalAbout01-21-2021 THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND,INDIANA, JANUARY 21, 2021 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00-P.M., Thursday, January 21, 2020, in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th Street, Richmond, Indiana. CALL TO ORDER President Robinson called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted: ROLL CALL Board members present were: Vicki Robinson, Emily Palmer and Matt Evans. Also in attendance were Kim Vessels,Assistant City Attorney; Monica Burns,Deputy City Clerk; Lieutenant Donnie Benedict; and, Media. SPECIAL MOTION • Ratifications of actions taken at prior electronic meetings. Ms. Palmer made a motion to approve and ratify the actions taken at the meeting which was held electronically on January 14, 2021, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Ms. Palmer moved to approve the minutes of January 14, 2021, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Evans moved to approve the Claims for Payment for January 22, 2021 in the amount of One Hundred Fifty Two Thousand Two Hundred Sixty Dollars and seventy seven cents ($152,260.77), supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr.Evans moved to approve the Payroll Claims for Payment for January 15,2021 in the amount of Seven Hundred Nineteen Thousand Two Hundred Forty Two Dollars and fifty six cents($719,242.56),supported by Ms. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. Board of Works Minutes January 21, 2021 Mr. Evans moved to approve a Special Payroll Claims for Payment for January 15, 2021 in the amount of One Hundred Eighty Two Dollars and ninety eight cents($182.98), supported by Ms.Palmer.Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT FOR PENSION -None REQUESTS • HANDICAP SIGN RENEWALS 115 Kinsey St 229 S 7th St Ms. Palmer moved to approve, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • STREET CLOSURES Meltdown Festival They are requesting to close the following streets: North Service Drive between North 6th Street and North 7th Street from January 22, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. to February 1, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. for Ice Carvers to work and store Ice. Utilize space in the protected cycle tracks (aka The loop) on North 7th,North 10th Street, and East Main Street for drive through ice carving displays and block off individual parking spaces as needed to allow line of sight between cars and the ice carving displays. Close South Service Drive between North 6th Street and North 7th Street for safe and effective use of the movie screen. Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried.
