HomeMy Public PortalAbout01-28-2021 THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, JANUARY 28,2021 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., Thursday, January 28, 2021, in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th Street, Richmond, Indiana. CALL TO ORDER President Robinson called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted: ROLL CALL Board members present were: Vicki Robinson, Emily Palmer and Matt Evans. Also in attendance were Kim Vessels,Assistant City Attorney; Monica Burns,Deputy City Clerk; Fire Chief Jerry Purcell;Major Aly Tonuc;Derek Hill,Director of Code Enforcement; and Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Ms. Palmer moved to approve the minutes of January 21, 2021, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Evans moved to approve the Claims for Payment for January 29, 2021 in the amount of One Hundred Eighty Three Thousand Seven Hundred Thirty Three Dollars and ninety eight cents ($183,733.98), supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Evans moved to approve the Payroll Claims for Payment for January 29, 2021 in the amount of Eight Hundred Forty Six Thousand Ninety Nine Dollars and ninety one cents ($846,099.91), supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT FOR PENSION Mr. Evans moved to approve the Payroll Claims for Payment for Pension for February 1, 2021 in the amount of Two Hundred Sixty Nine Thousand.Four Hundred Thirty Three Dollars and fifty cents ($269,433.50), supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. REQUESTS -None BID OPENINGS -None Board of Works Minutes January 28,2021 BID AWARDS -None CONTRACTS • CONTRACT NO. 9-2021 —BIO CARE,INC They will provide physical examinations to the Richmond Firefighters for the 2021 calendar year, including and not limited to general physical examinations, blood draws, pulmonary function test,vision and hearing test, and other standard medical testing. Not to exceed $33,765.00 Ms.Palmer moved to approve, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. • CONTRACT NO. 10-2021 —RYAN'S FLOORING SALES AND SERVICE, INC. They will provide services for the installation of flooring in the Richmond Police Department administrative offices and detective division. Not to exceed$4,791.00. Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. CHANGE ORDERS -None ADDENDUMS • ADDENDUM NO. 2 TO CONTRACT NO. 10-2019 —WALLACE HEATING AND AIR They will provide maintenance for heating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for stations 1,2,3,4, and 5 of the Richmond Fire Department. Not to exceed 5,692.90. Ms.Palmer moved to approve, supported by Mr.-Evans. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. PETITIONS—None MISCELLANEOUS • PUBLIC HEARING FOR RESOLUTION NO. 1-2021 1. PROOF OF PUBLICATION Board of Works Minutes January 28,2021 Mr. Evans moved to accept the Proof of Publication, supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. 2. PUBLIC HEARING President Robinson declared Resolution No. 1-2021 on Public Hearing. There being nothing for or against and the Public Hearing was closed. RESOLUTIONS • RESOLUTION NO. 1-2021 This is to establish Administrative Processing Expenses for use by the Unsafe Building Commission and the Code Enforcement Department. Ms.Palmer moved to approve, supported by Mr.Evans.Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried.
