RE: ORDINANCE NO. 19-2021
Contract No. 56-2017 was approved by the Board of Works which authorized the HELP Shelter to register
animals and issue tags on behalf of the City. For this service the Help Shelter receives 40% of the proceeds
with the remaining 60% retained by the city of Richmond. These funds are to be used toward the salary of the
Animal Services Officer, materials, supplies and services for the use and benefit of the City animal control
program, etc., as listed in the attached excerpt from the Richmond City Code.
