HomeMy Public PortalAbout02-11-2021 • THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, FEBRUARY 11,2021 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., Thursday,February 11,2020,in the Hutton Community Room at the Municipal Building,50 North 5th Street, Richmond, Indiana. CALL TO ORDER President Robinson called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted: ROLL CALL Board members present were: Vicki Robinson, Emily Palmer and Matt Evans. Also in attendance were Kim Vessels,Assistant City Attorney;Monica Burns, Deputy City Clerk; Greg Stiens,Director of Public Works and Engineering; Beth Fields,Director of Infrastructure and Development; Fire Chief Jerry Purcell; Britany Graham and Marilyn Kleist from Verizon joined by Zoom; and, Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Ms. Palmer moved to approve the minutes of February 4, 2021, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Evans moved to approve the Claims for Payment for February 12, 2021 in the amount of Sixty Eight Thousand Four Hundred Seventy Six Dollars and sixty six cents ($68,476.66), supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Evans moved to approve the Payroll Claims for Payment for February 12, 2021 in the amount of Seven Hundred Forty Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty Six Dollars and cight cents ($740,956.08), supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. Mr. Evans moved to approve a Payroll Claims for Payment for Rose View Transit Stipend for February 12,2021 in the amount of Eight Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty Dollars and no cents($8,950.00), supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva vice,the motion carried. PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT FOR PENSION -None REQUESTS -None Board of Works Minutes February 11,2021 BID OPENINGS -None BID AWARDS -None CONTRACTS • CONTRACT NO. 14-2021 —VERIZON WIRELESS This is an application to install a small cell structure at the NW corner of College Avenue and SW"G" Street in the City Right of Way. The structure will be 42.5 feet tall. Ms. Palmer moved to approve, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva, the motion carried. • CONTRACT NO. 15-2021 —LYONS INSURANCE & REAL ESTATE, INC They will provide professional appraisal services in connection with various residential and commercial real estate properties the City may plan to acquire, which will include preparation of the appraisals and narrative reports for the specific properties. Not to exceed $10,000.00 Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva, the motion carried. CHANGE ORDERS • CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 TO CONTRACT NO. 31-2020 — WHISENHUNT CONSTRUCTION Because of unforeseen changes during the building of the of the new fire station there were several additions and deletions to the scope of the contract making the cost of the construction to be slightly higher than what was proposed. The cost is an increase of $5,209.00 Ms. Palmer moved to approve, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva, the motion carried. ADDENDUMS • ADDENDUM NO. 1 TO CONTRACT NO. 44-2020—MANPOWER RICHMOND They provide special precautionary cleaning of the transportation vehicles operated by Rose View Transit. This addendum is to extend the services through March 17, 2022. The terms and conditions of the original contract will remain the same. Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva, the motion carried.
