A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD FOR
CHANGES TO EMPLOYER PAID MEMBER CONTRIBUTIONS FOR MANAGEMENT
LEVEL EMPLOYEES HIRED BEFORE DECEMBER 31, 2010
WHEREAS, the governing body of the City of Lynwood has the authority to
implement Government Code Section 20691; and
WHEREAS, the governing body of the City of Lynwood has previously entered
into a written labor policy or agreement which specifically provided for the normal
member contributions to be paid by the employer; and
WHEREAS, one of the steps in the procedures to implement Section 20691 is
the adoption by the governing body of the City of Lynwood of a Resolution to begin said
Employer Paid Member Contributions (EPMC); and
WHEREAS, the governing body of the City of Lynwood has identified the
following conditions for the purpose of its election to pay EPMC and makes the following
changes thereto:
• The EPMC benefit shall apply to all unit employees exclusively
represented by the Lynwood Management level employees
•
• The City of Lynwood will pay 0% EPMC for all management level
employees hired on or before December 31, 2010.
• The City of Lynwood will continue to pay 0% EPMC for all management
level employees hired on or after January 1, 2011.
• This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The governing body of the City of Lynwood elects to cease paying
EPMC as set forth above.
Section 2. The City Clerk of the City of Lynwood is hereby directed to certify the
passage and adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 18th day of December, 2012.
