A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU)
BETWEEN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AND THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY
METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY (LACMTA) REGARDING THE
COUNTYWIDE SIGNAL PRIORITY (CSP) OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE
WHEREAS, Rapid Redline bus service has expanded to include Firestone
Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue; and
WHEREAS, The existing MOU needs to be amended to reflect the new rapid
redline service; and
WHEREAS, The City supports the deployment of the CSP System and will
cooperate with LACMTA in order to successfully deploy signal priority along Long
Beach Boulevard and along Atlantic Boulevard.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER; AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council hereby approves and authorizes the Mayor to
execute Amendment No. 1 to the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of
Lynwood and LACMTA regarding the CSP operations and maintenance.
Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
