A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A 60-DAY CONTRACT EXTENSION
FOR THE LYNWOOD TROLLEY BUS SERVICES CONTRACT WITH MV
TRANSPORTATION
WHEREAS, on June 19, 2012, the MV Transportation contract was extended to
January 1, 2013; and
•
WHEREAS, to continue uninterrupted fixed route service until the new service
contract becomes effective; and
WHEREAS, the contractor is ready and willing to continue providing the trolley
service until February 28, 2013 with no increase in rates.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council approves a 60-day extension for the Trolley Bus
Services Contract with MV Transportation to expire February 28, 2013.
Section 2. The Mayor is authorized to execute the contract amendment on a
form to be approved by the City Attorney.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 18th day of December, 2012.
