HomeMy Public PortalAbout10-07-2021 PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR RICHMOND POWER & LIGHT OCTOBER 7, 2019 The Board of Directors for Richmond Power& Light Plant met in regular session at 7:00 p.m, October 7, 2019, in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building in said City. Chairperson Hollis presided. ROLL CALL: Board members present wereDoug Goss, Kelley Cruse Nicholson, Bruce Wissel; J.Clayton Miller, Jeffrey- Locke, Gary Turner, Misty Hollis, Jamie Lopeman and Ron Oler. Also present were: Randy Baker, General Manager; Tony Foster, Assistant General Manager, Andrew Sickmann, City Attorney; Karen Chasteen, City Clerk; Media; and, Sergeant-at-Arms. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Board Member Wissel moved to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting held September 16, 2019, supported by Board Member Miller. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. APPROVAL OF BILLS, INVESTMENTS AND TRANSFERS: Upon recommendation of the Finance Committee, Board Member Miller moved to approve claims for ,payment in the amount of Eight Hundred Twenty Six Thousand Four Hundred Eighty Four Dollars and. twenty one cents ($826,484.21), supported by Board Member Locke. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. OLD BUSINESS: • Open bids on a new 2019/2020 mid-size pickup truck for the Assistant General Manager as previously approved in the budget. Board Member Wissel moved to accept and file the Proof of Publication, supported by Board Member Lopeman. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried.\ Bids were received as follows: Cronin—Richmond 2019 Nissan Frontier $23,500.00—with Trade In Cronin—Richmond Toyota Tacoma $26,225.40—with Trade In Wetzel Ford 2020 Ranger—Crew $27,008.00—with Trade In Board Member Miller moved to refer the bids to the General Manager for due diligence, supported by Board Member Lopeman. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. NEW BUSINESS: • Board member Wissel moved to authorize the General Manager to receive bids on a 2019 hydraulic cable puller, supported by Board Member Goss. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. REPORT BY GENERAL MANAGER: Mr. Baker reported there are too many outages on the southeast side of Richmond. The cause is being investigated so it can be corrected. , RP&L—Board of Directors Minutes October 15,2019 Page 2 MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS: There will be a meeting to discuss the proposed 2020 Budget on November 11. ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business and a motion duly made, the meeting was adjourned.
