HomeMy Public PortalAbout10-01-2018 • PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR RICHMOND POWER & LIGHT OCTOBER 1, 2018 • The Board of Directors for Richmond Power& Light Plant met in regular session at 7:00 p.m., October 1, 2018, in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building in said City. Chairperson Wissel presided. ROLL CALL: Board members present were Doug Goss, Kelley Cruse-Nicholson, Bruce Wissel, Clayton Miller, Jeffrey Locke, Gary Turner, Misty Hollis, Jamie Lopeman and Ron Oler. Also present were: Randy Baker, General Manager; Andrew J. Sickmann, City Attorney; Monica Burns, Deputy City Clerk; Fire Chief Jerry Purcell; Media; and, Sergeant-at-Arms. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: The minutes for September 17, 2018 were put on hold until the next meeting. APPROVAL OF BILLS, INVESTMENTS AND TRANSFERS: Upon recommendation of the Finance Committee, Board Member Locke moved to approve claims for payment in the amount One Million Fifty Four Thousand Seven Hundred Six Dollars and five cents ($1,054,706.05), supported by Board Member Miller. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. OLD BUSINESS: None NEW BUSINESS: None REPORT BY GENERAL MANAGER: The General Manager requested to receive bids to verify settings, test relays, and circuit breakers at the Gaar Jackson substation as previously approved in the budget. Project#1, Capital Construction Projects, Gaar Jackson substation. Councilor Miller moved to authorize the General Manager to receive bids to verify settings, test relays, and circuit breakers at the Gaar Jackson substation, supported by Councilor Goss. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. RP&L GENERAL REPORT The Governor did a Proclamation declaring October 7th—13th, 2018 Public Power Week.There are 72 cities in the State of Indiana that are on public power, supplying approximately 430,000 Hoosiers. There will be information on the website and information handed out to customers.
