HomeMy Public PortalAbout09-04-2018 PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR RICHMOND POWER & LIGHT SEPTEMBER 4, 2018 The Board of Directors for Richmond Power& Light Plant met in regular session at 7:00 p.m., September 4, 2018, in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building in said City. Chairperson Wissel presided. ROLL CALL: Board members present were Doug Goss, Kelley Cruse-Nicholson, Bruce Wissel, Clayton Miller, Jeffrey Locke, Gary Turner, Misty Hollis and Jamie Lopeman. Absent was Ron Oler. Also present were: Randy Baker, General Manager; Tony Foster; Andrew J. Sickmann, City Attorney; Monica Burns, Deputy City Clerk; Diana Pappin; Media; and, Sergeant-at-Arms. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Board Member Nicholson moved to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting held August 20, 2018, supported by Board Member Goss. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. APPROVAL OF BILLS, INVESTMENTS AND TRANSFERS: Board Member Miller said the Finance Committee was unable to review the bills at this time and will be held until the next meeting. If for some reason they need to be approved before the next meeting Chairman Wissel asked that the Finance Committee be authorized to do so. Board Member Hollis moved to approve, supported by Board Member Miller. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. OLD BUSINESS: None NEW BUSINESS: none REPORT BY GENERAL MANAGER: • They are a little behind on the street light upkeep. Out of the 6500 street lights in the City about 1 or 2% of those are out. There are 42 underground projects going on at this time of which they are behind as well. Encouraged people to please have patience.The total hours for three of the projects that are going on are 17,831 between this year and part of last year. Mr. Baker is planning to authorize some additional overtime hours in order to get caught up. Board Member Miller asked about the Sandbridge Project and was told that it should be done this year. Board Member Lopeman asked if they were behind on the Stellar Project and was told not really it is just actually really getting started. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS: None ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business and a motion duly made, the meets adjourned.
