HomeMy Public PortalAbout05-15-2017 PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR RICHMOND POWER & LIGHT MAY 15, 2017 The Board of Directors for Richmond Power & Light Plant met in regular session at 7:00 p.m, May 15, 2017, in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building in said City. Chairperson Oler presided. ROLL CALL: Board members present were Doug Goss, Kelley Cruse-Nicholson, Clayton Miller, Jeffrey Locke, Gary Turner, Misty Hollis, Jamie Lopeman and Ron Oler. Absent was Bruce Wissel, Also present were: Randy Baker, General Manager; Andrew J. Sickmann, City Attorney; Karen Chasteen, City Clerk; Andrew J. Sickmann, City Attorney; Karen Chasteen, City Clerk; Beth Fields, Controller; Emily Paul, Deputy Controller; Dakota Collins; Rollie North, Mark Morris, Kim Pointsett, Don Bates, Jr. Lions Club of Richmond; and, Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Board Member Cruse-Nicholson moved to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting held May 1, 2017, supported by Board Member Goss. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. APPROVAL OF BILLS, INVESTMENTS AND TRANSFERS: Upon recommendation of the Finance Committee, Board Member Locke to approve claims for payment in the amount of Six Million Thirty Five Thousand One Hundred Fourteen Dollars and thirteen cents ($6,035,114.13), supported by Board Member Lopeman. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. STREET LIGHT COMMITTEE: Street lights in the Oak Park addition have been installed using LED lamps. RP&L staff will be checking the usage to determine the efficiency of the bulbs. OLD BUSINESS: Mr. Sickman updated the Board on the status of the Community Action East Center Indiana judgment. A remedy is being investigated. NEW BUSINESS: • Board Member Hollis moved to authorize the General Manager to receive bids on a new vehicle for the General Manager as approved in the budget, supported by Board Member Turner. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried.
